Women Empowerment

Why Women Empowerment

According to the UN, 8.7 million Nigerian children aged 6-11 are out of school, and 5 million of them are estimated to be girls.

According to the World Bank, the expected years of schooling for a Nigerian woman aged 15 and above is 8.77 compared to 9.7 for men. Only 49.6% of the female population are literates.

Our Goal is to empower women with the capacity to pursue their dreams, earn a living, and find their voices within society, while contributing to economic prosperity.

Women Read Academy Program (WRAP)

WRAP empowers and encourages young girls to improve their love for reading and to stay in school. We do this through our libraries, book clubs, scholarships, mentoring opportunities, and improving girls participation in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs.

At True Identity, we envision a society in which every woman is empowered to be successful in whichever path she chooses in life. We are raising Women who lead meaningful lives and embrace their roles as drivers of social and economic change.

Our goal is to provide a space where young girls can feel safe, have fun, make new friends, and be a part of a community of fellow game-changers and with our mission to empower young women through sustainable educational and entrepreneurial initiatives to enhance community development, that goal is not far fetched.

Vocational Training

Training support is given to young women and children who want to acquire a vocation and they are supported upon the completion of the training.

Mentoring

Women are matched with young girls who they mentor through different growth opportunities and phases of life. Young women are paired with mentors who they can look up to and model their lives and careers after.

Small Business Startup Support

Women are empowered through startup funds and support as they create and maintain small businesses.
